This Innovation Challenge middle school students. The goal is for students to come up with solutions to the persistent problem that most students (and adults for that matter) do not practice proper hand washing behavior. This Innovation Challenge is designed to walk students step by step through a process for solving a real-world problem, There is no right answer and students will have to collect data on the prevalence of the problem and the performance of their solution. Students will work in teams to come up with solutions, design prototypes, take their idea to the school to see if it works, and present to others about the results. This Innovation Challenge is based on the Innovation Box four-step process (Frame, Ideate, Test, Spread), which is rooted in Design Thinking, Lean StartUp, and improvement science.
